Shadow Gear became a reality in 1998. I have been in the sport of Paintball for many years. From the first time I played, I was hooked. The thrill of being the hunter and being hunted at the same time was the adrenaline rush I looked for every time I played. I tried Speedball in open fields and Commando scenarios in the woods. Out of the two, I prefered playing in the woods. That is why Shadow Gear was patterned with woodland colors.
During the first two years, I tried just about every paintball gear and equipment that was manufactured and realized that most of the gear was designed by non-players. The gear was too bulky, stiff, awkward, and very uncomfortable. I started by designing and customizing my own paintball gear and tested it on the playing fields. Before long, everyone was wanting specialized gear of their own. To this date, I still hand cut and machine stitch each Shadow Gear labeled product.
